Bridging scholarship, decolonizing the archive, and illuminating diversity in academia & agriculture.
watch my debut documentary:
The Earth Hears My Cry: Farming as Remembrance and Resistance, captures the stories of 10 Black women farmers in North Carolina as they confront discrimination, isolation, and the pervasive whiteness of agricultural spaces—yet continue to endure and thrive as agriculturalists.
"The most meaningful moment in the documentary was the way farming was presented. It is not just a labor, but as an act of memory and cultural survival. Growing food can be a way of honoring ancestors, preserving traditions, and resisting systems that have historically displaced or oppressed communities."

What people are saying:
"The most meaningful moment in the documentary was the beautiful storytelling from the farmers in the film. Their journeys were inspiring as they explained food justice from their embodied experiences on the land."
-Attendee of screening & panel
"Before watching the documentary, I was not aware of the concerns and challenges faced by Black women whom are farmers. In particular, I was inspired by the resilience of Black farmers and their resistance to external pressures that threaten their farming traditions and livelihoods."
